Yesterday she showed off a toned-down look sporting a demure maxi dress, simple make-up and a relaxed hair style - a world away from her usual sexed-up style.

But it didn’t last long and earlier today Rihanna was dressed in a louder than life attire as she took part in a traditional Bajan festival.

The singer climbed aboard a float dressed in a cut away bra top and a pair of tiny red pants flaunting her fabulous figure as she celebrated Kadooment Day.

And while her scarlet locks may have gone the singer donned bright red feathers in her hair which added to the intricate embellishment on her costume.

Rihanna was certainly the star of the show and showed little inhibition as she played up to the crowds on the stage.

At one point in the party an over-eager fan came up behind her as she bent over and the singer happily obliged by dancing with him.

Ri-Ri was also seen blowing kisses to the crowd, supping on a drink and chatted with friends as she partied the day away.

And when the rain started to fall the singer didn't let the wet weather ruin her mood and took to running in the street and giggling with her pals.

The Grand Kadooment is the official finale celebration of the Crop Over Festival Season and Rihanna was taking part in the parade of Masquerade Bands.

In June it was announced that Rihanna was the official ambassador for her home country of Barbados.

Yesterday the Rated R singer was spotted rocking her natural brown hair on a shopping trip with a group of pals.

The Bajan beauty recently wrapped up the North American leg of her Loud tour and will perform in Barbados later this week.

Stronger than ever: The Only Way Is Essex stars Lydia Bright and James 'Arg' Argent showed they are back together with a loving display while on holiday in Marbella this week

Thousands of The Only Way Is Essex fans were left devastated when James 'Arg' Argent and Lydia Bright revealed they had split earlier this year.

But now it seems the couple have put their differences behind them and rekindled their relationship.

Lydia and Arg showed they are stronger than ever by putting on a loving display while on holiday in Marbella, kissing and cuddling as they relaxed in the sunshine.

Wearing a tiny red polka dot bikini and a white cowboy hat, it was little wonder Arg struggled to keep his hands off his svelte girlfriend.

The couple made the most of their time off together, and enjoyed a relaxing dip in the pool as well as the jacuzzi at The Sisu Boutique Hotel and Spa in Puerto Banus.

The breakdown of Lydia and Arg's relationship was shown on the second series of The Only Way Is Essex, following a series of arguments stemming from Lydia's belief that Arg was cheating on her.

And despite his insisting that he had been entirely faithful, Lydia decided Arg didn't treat her well enough, and ended the relationship.

In the finale of season two of The Only Way Is Essex, Arg was seen pleading with Lydia to give him another chance, after she arrived at Mark Wright's pool party with another man.

The next series of The Only Way Is Essex is due to start on ITV2 this autumn.

They are hugely popular Hollywood actors, so don't get to spend much time together.

So when siblings Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal had the opportunity to meet up at their father's wedding, they were determined to spend as much time as possible together.

Following the nuptials earlier this week, Jake and Maggie were seen hitting the surf in North Shore Oahu, Hawaii on Wednesday.

And it seems the pair were competing for the best beach body as they strolled into the water.

While Maggie showed off her slender frame in a chic strapless black swimsuit, Jake caused a stir as he displayed his enviably muscular physique in a pair of printed blue swimming shorts.

In a recent interview, Jake said it was his sister's love of acting and musical theatre which first inspired him to get into the industry.

Bit cold? The pair had a quick dip but appeared to have found the water slightly too cool as they made their way out

He said: 'Some of my earliest memories are of my sister coming back from doing a rehearsal for some musical during elementary school.

'I would watch her, and I realized that she got attention that way. I joined her and we would put on shows together and she would always boss me around.

'She would put on a stage performance of Cats, and I would be a lone, poor cat sitting in the corner while my sister performed. I never got to be the star. I did everything wrong according to her.'

But Jake said recently he has no desire to collaborate with Maggie on a film project any time soon, after they appeared together in Donnie Darko in 2001.

He said: 'I love her a lot, but we don't go around looking for something to work on together.

'I would rather spend time with my niece and spend time as brother and sister.

'It would take something that I love so much, that I would need her to be a part of, and vice versa.'

Jake and Maggie took a back seat earlier this week as they attended the wedding of their father Stephen to filmmaker and professor Kathleen Man.

The informal ceremony took place on the beach in front of just 30 guests.

Man is a Hawaii native who graduated from the Punahou School, where President Obama went to high school, in 1992.

He split from Naomi Foner nearly three years ago after 32 years. Jake and Maggie's mother Naomi is also in the showbiz industry.

The American screenwriter even earned herself an Oscar nomination and won a Golden Globe for River Phoenix screenplay Running On Empty.

Stephen and his new bride were both dressed in white, feeling the water between their toes as they walked barefoot on the sand.

The 24-year-old blogger has become an internet sensation by posting pictures of herself online wearing a different outfit for every day of the year.

She has won female fashion followers with her designer dresses and style tips.

Poppy, of Guildford, Surrey, started her ‘What I Wore Today’ blog on January 1 last year after making a New Year resolution to vary her outfits.

Her site now attracts 90,000 visitors a month and she is planning to expand it into an entire social network for fashion fans to upload their own pictures.

Poppy, who studied economics at University College, London, was working for a property search engine when she went on holiday to California in December 2009.

She says: ‘I came up with a New Year's resolution to try and wear something different every day, take a picture on my iPhone and upload it.

‘The previous year I'd decided to always have nice nails, so it seems my resolutions are quite girly.

Poppy's first post read: 'Hopefully by the end of 2010, I will have posted 365 photos of what I wear each day.

‘There is zero point to this blog other than to persuade me to wear a lot more of my rather extensive wardrobe.'

As she quickly won a loyal following, she accompanied the pictures with humorous and saucy comments.

A jumper featuring a reindeer was captioned 'Well Christmassy. Cut me, I bleed port'.

Under a shot of her in pyjamas she wrote 'Yes, I did get new pyjamas for Christmas. Yes, they do match my ginger teddy'.

I remember being thoroughly disappointed last year when I missed it, choosing some sort of puritan sacking dress instead (unusual, admittedly, as I do tend to have my boobs on display one way or another).'

Explaining her success with the site, Poppy said: ‘It only takes 30 seconds to check the site and women know they are going to see a different outfit every day. It does become addictive.

‘I am a normal person, not a size 6 and even if I am tired or sick I post a picture.

‘People get ideas of things to wear and how to mix them in a more realistic way than you see in some magazines.

She has also been hired by retailers as a fashion guru and has reported from London Fashion Week and music festivals.

She now plans to expand the site into a social network where anyone can upload their daily outfits with competitions where users vote for ‘the most fashionable’ efforts.

The site will come with an iPhone app, allowing users to take pictures of themselves easily and then tag the clothes they are wearing.

Visitors using links to buy the clothes will earn a sales percentage for the site, while those uploading pictures earn points which can be swapped for store discounts.

Poppy said: ‘It's a lot like tagging friends in Facebook but you'll be tagging clothes. It's very simple, and I hope people will want to do it every day.’

No-one ever expected Katie Price to shy away from the limelight at what she hoped would be a 'record breaking' book signing.

And given her trend for traffic-stopping attire on these occasions, fans were doubtless eager to see what the glamour model would turn up in for her latest effort, Comeback Girl.

It's safe to say that Katie didn't disappoint. Wearing a golden superhero-style catsuit inscribed with lines from her new book, and a belt made out of miniature versions of the cover, subtlety was not the order of the day.


The sparkly bra, heavy make-up and trademark gigantic hair added to the show and perhaps even heart stopping look.

Katie pulled out all the stops to ensure she bagged the 1,952 signatures she needed to break the current record for book signings in one sitting currently held by former world chess champion, Anatoli Karpov, who signed 1951 copies of his book within 8 hours in 2006.

Writing on her official site, Katie promised: 'Everyone who attends the event will be able to have their name included in the acknowledgements for my next novel when it comes out in October. And they will also receive an exclusive woven wristband to mark their participation on the day.'

Possibly Katie feared even these temptations wouldn't prove sufficient, adding a strange further incentive: 'Plus, one lucky person will be randomly picked to appear in the book as a character. Just think how jealous your friends would be!'

To add to the anticipation, Katie tweeted shortly before the signing: 'Woo hoo so excited about my signing! Leaving soon just trying to squeeze in my cat suit ha ha xx'

Sadly, it was not meant to be as Liz Smith, Records Manager at Guinness World Records, said: 'Unfortunately on this occasion Katie did not successfully achieve a new record, but we hope to welcome her for another record attempt in the future..'

Katie has a history of wearing controversial outfits for her book signings, notably her children's book Mermaids and Pirates, for which she dressed up as an actual mermaid.

The pair had the word 'Yeshua,' which means Joshua in Hebrew, etched onto the left side of their torsos.


Bieber first showed off the etching when he went on a Hawaii break with girlfriend Selena Gomez in May.

It came as Justin's second tat, with the teen seemingly sharing his father's love of the ink.

The Baby singer also has an etching of seagull on his left hip, which he had done to celebrate turning 16.

'I just like, walked away. I'm not turned on by Hef, sorry.'

She dealt a further blow to the ladies man's reputation when she revealed they had only been intimate once.
