Bristol Palin Makes Bank as Abstinence Ambassador?
Looks like Bristol Palin got some serious cash for being an Abstinence Ambassador.
E! Online is reporting that the now 20-year-old single mother was paid $262,000 for her work with teen pregnancy prevention. The amount came from a Candie's Foundation tax form filed in 2009.
Bristol became famous when she got pregnant at age 18 by her now ex-boyfriend Levi Johnston during her mother Sarah Palin's 2008 run as Vice President. Sarah Palin had a strong stance on abstinence only sex education for teens.
A source close to Bristol defended the huge pay and told E! that the amount received was highly justifiable and "not out of the ordinary for a celebrity. But because it's Bristol it makes news."

A source close to Bristol defended the huge pay and told E! that the amount received was highly justifiable and "not out of the ordinary for a celebrity. But because it's Bristol it makes news."
The source says, "The money she received was from multiple projects she did with them. She shot PSAs, print and Internet ads and did town hall meetings, as well, and the money she made was an accumulation of all of that. This is not out of the ordinary for a celebrity to make an income off of a charity they represent."
The person also said that most nonprofit organizations do compensate their celebrity spokespeople and Bristol was no different
The source concluded by saying that the information on the money was leaked by an "anti-Palin organization."
