Demi Lovato commended fellow actressCatherine Zeta-Jone's "brave" decision to receive treatment for a mental disorder this week.
According to PEOPLE, Lovato took to Twitter on Thursday to show support for Zeta-Jones.
"I don't know Catherine Zeta-Jones personally but what she has decided to do it SO brave," Lovatotweeted. "And SO difficult but worth it... I'm proud of her."
A rep for Zeta-Jones released a statement on Wednesday on behalf of her client. "After dealing with the stress of the past year, Catherine made the decision to check in to a mental health facility for a brief stay to treat her Bipolar II Disorder."

Zeta-Jone's husband, Michael Douglas, was diagnosed with Stage 4 throat cancer last year, and is currently in remission after receiving treatment. Adding to her stress, her stepson, Cameron Douglas, was sentenced to five years in prison for drug-related charges just months before Douglas' cancer diagnosis.
Like Zeta-Jones, Lovato recently completed a rehab stay herself where she was treated for "emotional and physical issues." She decided to seek help after she was involved in a "physical altercation" with a dancer last October.
The 'Sonny With a Chance' star recently opened up about her treatment, urging those who need help to lean on supportive friends and family.
"If you are going through that dark period, go to your family and closest friends," she told Seventeen. "Don't put yourself in danger."
